I had the chance to work on this exciting project as I arrived in Animal Logic. Why exciting? Because it wasn't just a matter of playing with digital plastic Lego bricks and sets, creating and adding textures, stickers, decals, grunge effects, oxidation, and so on, giving them reality through all the crazy details we did... But also an opportunity for me to work on so many organic assets that are visible in the environments of the movie.
I had to achieve the high visual standard of the company working on textures, shading, sculpting, and other aspects of rocks, cliffs, plants, trees and vegetation in general, including moss patches and the spawning systems that are filling and creating the environment.
